SR Cyber Security Engineer
Insight Global is currently hiring for a Sr Cyber Security Engineer to join a growing team for an IT service provider.
This individual will be the mentor and lead for a new Security Operations Center that this company is looking to build out.
They will be responsible for any escalations of security risks, a technical lead for all cyber security analysts, both tier 1 and 2 on the team, reviewing reporting and dashboards, provide direction to the team, and presenting findings to customers.
This candidate will still be technical and hands on with cyber security support while acting as a mentor to the team.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in networking and security management, computer science, or related field is preferred.
Experience mentoring and leading a team Knowledge of SOC (security operations center) or working apart of one 4
years of IT security experience.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP Fundamentals Knowledge of network level exploits Strong understanding of IDS/IPS technologies, trends, processes, and methodologies.
Strong understanding of common IDS/IPS architectures and implementations.
Experience using SIEM, AV, IDS, IPS, and EDR security platforms.
Ability to work efficiently within a team.
