System One is actively seeking a Construction Site Superintendent in TX Raw Steel Pay:
$65-$70Hr Job Summary Construction Site Superintendent helps in the planning, management, and execution at assigned industrial construction project.
This position is responsible for site safety, quality, and work productivity through visible and effective management of sub?suppliers whether direct or indirectly under contract.
Manages RFI & CO request from Owner/sub?suppliers with Project Management to validate scope of work/supply.
Ensures that all site documentation is complete.
All activities and actions are aligned with the core values of company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities ? Promote a zero injury safety culture by conducting daily safety meetings with site personnel within the companies chain of custody; ensuring that Job Site Analysis' (JSA) are appropriate for the work/task to be performed, continuously evaluate work site for potential hazards or unsafe conditions and ensure that all personnel use Personal Protective Equipment PPE appropriate to the site or tasks and adhere to incident reporting procedures ? Perform or assist in site safety inductions (Client & Site Owner) for all subs or visitors ? Daily sign?in records (subs or visitors) ? Manage RFIs or COs request from Owner/sub?suppliers with PM to validate to as?sold scope of work/supply ? Ensure that RFIs or COs are documented & approved by PM before work commences ? Use company construction management system to document:
? Site safety inductions (including sub?suppliers) ? Observations (near misses, injuries, STOP WORK events, accidents) ? Sub?supplier safety violations/notifications ? Daily reports & photos ? Drawings, redlines, specifications, RFIs, Submittals, COs, etc.
? Prepare work planning using Lookaheads ? Incidents, Inspections & Punchlist ? Weekly sub?supplier meetings to plan upcoming work using Lookaheads ? Establish minimum cadence of periodic project walks with Owner representative(s) to review work in progress ? Coordinate with PM and schedule sub?suppliers for upcoming project work based on Lookaheads ? Coordinate inspections and communication timelines/outcomes with PM ? Monitor, verify & inspect materials supplied by Owner, sub?suppliers or MBW to maintain project schedule ? Manage quality of work performed ? Monitor safety of work performed ? Manage productivity of work performed (including resources at site by sub?suppliers) ? Initiate corrective action with subs for site safety, quality or lack of productivity and document in Procore and communicate/follow?up with PM ? Attend weekly Owner meetings conducted by PM ? Review all sub?supplier timesheets (when required by purchase orders/contracts) and approve ? Coordinate sub?supplier releases from site ? Actively participate in annual performance development review PDR process ? Assist in the invoicing process by compiling and reviewing bills of lading, receipts etc.
for accuracy and ensure all field cost is accounted for and provided to project management ? Provides timely information through project cycle (all areas of reporting/documentation) ? Attends any required training classes, including but not limited to specialized training and provide opportunities to develop personnel ? Abide and enforce company policies (HR, safety, attendance, inspection, work procedures etc.
) and site specific or regulatory standards ? Complete special assignments or additional tasks as assigned Relationships and Roles:

Expert knowledge of safe work practices in construction or industrial plant environments ? Skilled at logical planning, setting realistic goals and managing complex operations and tasks ? Articulate and clear communication skills in verbal and written formats ? Keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines ? Confident and capable of independent work, takes initiative, sets priorities, and complete projects through to completion ? Possess fundamental understanding of business financials and commercial knowledge ? Highly competent in using computers, Microsoft Office products, construction management software (Procore experience highly desirable) Working Conditions Typical field environment:
Work is performed at customer locations and involves working near active construction activities or operating production.
Work environment can include exposure to extreme hot and cold weather conditions, working at elevated heights and confined spaces.
All sites require use of PPE Personal Protective Equipment and employee is required to use PPE (respirators & fall protection) and may be fitted or testing for use.
The noise level in field environment can be quiet (field project office) to moderate levels of noise as work can be near active construction or operating production.
Required travel is 40 70% to project sites or customer locations across North America.
? Standing for long periods of time ? Typical workday is 10 12 hours per day ? Frequent climbing of stairs and/or ladders ? Regular lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds unaided ? Must be able to work, day or night shifts or weekends when requested ?
