Travel Requirements:
Work from home 50% / 50% spent onsite in North Sioux City
Position Summary:
Direct, coordinate and exercise functional authority for communication, planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties personally or through other resources.? Take ownership and be responsible for handling all aspects of the day to day management and delivery of on-going client projects.? This is also a telecommuting (home based) position with travel as needed to client sites.?
Position Responsibilities:
Included but not limited to:

  • Preparing and maintaining detail project execution plans with scopes and timelines aligned with customer expectations

  • Managing project risks, including the development of contingency plans

  • Monitoring overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary

  • Understanding and communicating customer's specific requirements

  • Review vendor proposals for completeness

  • Liaison with the owner's engineers to create the Bid Package Standards

  • Lead the creation of the mechanical and electrical Bid Packages and pre-Bid meeting

  • Communicate with and support cross functional teams including the plant, R&D, and the CVS team

  • Provide technical support during installation startups

  • Coordinate the transition between the project and the plant maintenance department


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering

  • 5-10 years' experience in a comparable technical position in food, beverage, or related industry

  • Thorough understanding of engineering disciplines: Process, Packaging, Electrical, Construction and/or Computer Services.

  • Thorough understanding of project execution, scope development, RFP's, scheduling, and validation.

  • Strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communications skills, blue print reading skills, organizational skills, strong problem solving / critical thinking skills are required.

  • Must have ability to work independently and be able to multi-task

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Office software

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

  • Successful Completion of drug and background screening

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
